Abstract

In recent years, the exclusion of Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and other culturally diverse communities has persisted across multiple social and productive spheres. This systematic review aimed to analyze recent advances in social responsibility regarding the integration of ethnic minorities over the past six years. A systematic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines in Scopus and Web of Science, identifying 481 articles, of which 76 met the inclusion criteria. The findings reveal higher scholarly output in Australia, the United States, and Canada, with progress concentrated on strengthening autonomous governance, adopting decolonizing methodologies, consolidating culturally appropriate health systems, and promoting territorial management grounded in traditional ecological knowledge. However, within extractive industries, social responsibility remains ambivalent, combining inclusive initiatives with paternalistic practices that perpetuate structural inequalities. The review concludes that progress remains fragmented and calls for a structural reconceptualization of social responsibility as a framework for intercultural justice.
