The majority of neurological conditions are incurable and often leave people with both acute and chronic impairments. Often the most useful treatment is physical therapy. Physiotherapy to improve range of movement, strength and coordination; occupational therapy to teach people to manage disability more effectively; speech and language therapy to teach people how to overcome dysarthria, dysphagia and dysphasia and psychology to help patients to manage the psychological, cognitive and emotional effects of neurological disease. Much of the research however, is directed towards acute neurological disease and relatively little on rehabilitation. Advanced Neurology wishes to focus an edition on Neurorehabilitation which will be published in 2027. We are keen to receive original research, reviews and case studies. Areas that are of particular interest are the role of Artificial Intelligence and its use in rehabilitation, rehabilitation technology and tele-rehabilitation and the use of cognition and language engagement with technology. We look forward to receiving your submissions.
