Globally, brain health is no longer merely a medical issue, but a strategic field bearing on human development, economic vitality and the future of science and technology. Brain health has attracted unprecedented attention worldwide. July 22 marks World Brain Health Day. Since the official launch of the China Brain Health Initiative on July 22, 2022, fruitful progress has been achieved in the development of brain health centers, the release of guidelines for precise prevention, diagnosis and treatment of related diseases, popular science outreach and free clinics, medical staff training, and international cooperation. The Brain Health Conference was successfully held consecutively from 2023 to 2025, with the three sessions laying a solid foundation for connecting China with the rest of the world and building consensus.

 

To respond to international initiatives, advance the integration of brain health into global and national health priority agendas, and demonstrate China’s scientific contributions and leading role in brain health, the 2026 Brain Health Conference will be grandly held in Shanghai, China, from July 22 to 26, 2026. A series of concurrent events including high-end academic forums, international dialogues, public science welfare activities and industrial exhibitions will be organized alongside the main conference. Adhering further to its positioning of "prevention prioritized, full-life-cycle coverage and multidisciplinary integration", this conference will set up 18 thematic forums covering global governance, technological breakthroughs, full-life-cycle health, brain health economics and innovation translation, to facilitate academic exchanges, technological integration and industrial matchmaking.
