1. Aims and Scope
Arts & Communication is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly understanding of art across its theoretical, historical, educational, and communicative dimensions. The journal publishes original research examining how artistic practices, visual cultures, and aesthetic forms are produced, interpreted, taught, circulated, and transformed across cultural, institutional, digital, and global contexts
The journal is committed to scholarship that is innovative, inclusive, and interdisciplinary. It welcomes research that bridges Eastern and Western traditions, engages both historical and contemporary perspectives, and addresses the relationships between art and the broader social, technological, and political forces that shape human experience. Arts & Communication provides an international platform for sustained dialogue across the traditional boundaries of art history, visual culture studies, art education, design, media, and communication studies.
The journal is particularly interested in work that advances critical and cross-cultural inquiry, including research on digital and emerging media in art and education, the global circulation of art and cultural heritage, and the role of art in addressing questions of identity, equity, and social change.
