Organoids and Aging Research: From Model Construction to Anti-Aging Interventions
Release Date: 2025
Column Information

In recent years, organoid technology, as a groundbreaking advancement in three-dimensional in vitro biological modeling, has provided an unprecedentedly precise tool for aging research. Organoids can closely mimic the structure and function of human organs, demonstrating unique advantages in elucidating the mechanisms of age-related diseases, drug screening, and the development of personalized therapeutic strategies. With the integration of single-cell sequencing, gene editing, and biomaterials technologies, organoid models are increasingly used to explore changes in the aging microenvironment, cellular metabolic dysregulation, and epigenetic regulation. These advancements are paving new paths for delaying aging and intervening in geriatric diseases.

This special issue focuses on the innovative applications of organoid technology in aging research, aiming to gather the latest achievements in basic research, technological development, and clinical translation. We cordially invite scholars worldwide to submit original research articles, reviews, or forward-looking perspectives to jointly advance breakthroughs in the field of anti-aging through organoid technology.
