This Special Issue covers intelligent bioinks and advanced bioprinting strategies for in vitro modeling, tissue regeneration, and drug delivery, spanning material innovation, artificial intelligence–assisted design, and multifunctional bioprinting technologies. The scope includes studies on AI-supported bioink development, adaptive printing approaches, and data-driven optimization of biological and mechanical performance.
The issue also encompasses research integrating printed bioelectronics for tissue stimulation, sensing, and feedback, as well as microneedle printing technologies associated with tissue regeneration and localized therapeutic delivery. By bringing together these diverse yet complementary approaches, this Special Issue aims to provide a broad perspective on emerging directions in intelligent and functional bioprinting.
